Windy Wednesday could foul ferries

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Windy weather could cut ferry routes today, including the Southport-Fort Fisher Ferry.

NCDOT Ferry Division crews have prepared their docks to be ready in case routes need to be shut down when the storm arrives, making ferry travel potentially unsafe.

Travelers who plan to use the ferry should check the departure terminal for up-to-date information.
