That’s no pothole! Movie magic changes look of Wilmington street

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It may look like a serious accident or a natural disaster, but a buckled street it is actually a movie set in downtown Wilmington.

Crews are working to get the area between Front and Red Cross streets prepped for the filming of the horror flick “The Remaining.” Filming is scheduled at this location and others throughout Wilmington until Thursday.

“The Remaining” began shooting in Wilmington last month. Another shoot will cause brief closures on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge Saturday and Sunday night.
