Wife of Sen. Barack Obama to campaign for husband in NC

RALEIGH (AP) — The wife of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., will visit North Carolina on Tuesday behalf of her husband’s bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.

The Obama campaign announced Sunday that Michelle Obama will speak at Winston-Salem State University on Tuesday afternoon. From there, she will travel to Raleigh for an evening speech at North Carolina State University’s Reynolds Coliseum.

Michelle Obama’s appearances in North Carolina are her first in the state.
