Obama rips questions he faced at debate

RALEIGH (AP) — Some Barack Obama supporters apparently don’t think much of the line of questioning at Wednesday night’s debate — and neither does Obama.

During a rally yesterday in North Carolina Obama mocked some aspects of the debate — and drew roars of approval from his supporters as he did so. He says the questions focused on political
trivia, rather than the problems facing average voters.

Obama was questioned by the ABC News moderators about his controversial pastor, and about his comments about “bitter” voters in small towns — and about his relationship with a 1960s
radical.

He says Hillary Rodham Clinton is more comfortable than he is with the style of the debate — which he described as “playing gotcha games” and “getting us to attack each other.”

One of the moderators, George Stephanopolous, defends the questions as “tough and fair and appropriate and relevant.”
