Wrightsville bridge can’t take the heat

Highway Managers and the Fire Department spent the day cooling off the Wrightsville beach bridge. They say extreme temperatures caused it to swell and expand. That makes it more difficult for the bridge to open and close. The only way to cool it off was to wrap the bridge in fire hoses filled with water.
