Plant protection company moving headquarters from NJ to NC
DURHAM — A Danish insecticide manufacturer is moving its headquarters overseeing the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand operations from Wayne, N.J. to Research Triangle
Park in August.
The Herald-Sun of Durham reports that Cheminova has leased 9,494 square feet of office space. Cheminova president and CEO of U.S. operations Martin Petersen says the company will have fully vacated its New Jersey office by the end of September.
Petersen says the company will hire 10 administrative workers locally and have about 20 total employees in RTP.
Cheminova is a global producer of insecticides, herbicides and fungicides. It is the U.S. subsidiary of Cheminova A/S in Lemvig, Denmark.
The company employs 800 people in Denmark and 750 abroad, including at least 30 in the U.S.
