Crisis Center back open

The state has ended the suspension of Southeastern Center for Mental Health’s Detoxification Center and Crisis Station in Wilmington.

In May, the Department of Health and Human Services blocked both facilities from accepting new patients following an investigation into the death of a woman seeking treatment for heroin addiction last year.

Regulators are now satisfied that the center has taken sufficient corrective action to ensure patient safety.
