Update: Body found in Hugh MacRae Park

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed there was no foul play in the death of a man found in Hugh MacRae park last night.

An autopsy showed 59-year-old Michael Kenneth Poole died of heart disease.

Two kids playing on a baseball field found Poole’s body around 7:30 p.m. last night under the scoreboard.

Poole’s last known address is the Good Shepherd Center, which is a Wilmington homeless shelter.
