Deputies: Camp Lejeune Marine threatens estranged wife, fellow Marine
ONSLOW COUNTY (WCTI12.com) — A Camp Lejeune Marine, considered armed, dangerous and homicidal, has been arrested after he allegedly threatened his estranged wife and a fellow Marine.
LCpl. Kenneth Austin made the threats at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday, according to Sgt. Joel Besino of Camp Lejeune. Both police and deputies in Onslow County were looking for the suspect.
A few hours later, Austin ran his Ford Focus off the road and into a ditch near Highway 117, just north of Warsaw, said Duplin County Sheriff Blake Wallace.
