UNCW hosts YEP Camp

Area youth sharpened their real world business skills today.

It is part of a week long camp at UNCW called the Youth Entrepreneurship Program.

Students get a chance to work with faculty, local business professionals and executives to learn basic management and business skills.

Some students from the School of Nursing Camp joined in, to see how the business and medical fields work together.

Camper Duane Drummond said , “So far we’ve learned that we should network and communicate with people who are in the same field to help us if we need help.”

There are about 60 students enrolled in the camp.

It will last through the week, and features outdoor activities as well as classroom discussions.
