Digital converter box donations today at senior center
September 8th is fast approaching, and for Wilmington residents, that means the digital TV switch.
Today, companies that make the converter boxes donated some to the senior center here in Wilmington.
They also demonstrated how to hook up the converter boxes to an analog TV.
Senior center coordinators were there to learn more about the switch and how they can assist elderly residents with the transition.
Huntington Health Care administrator Emily Pahel said, “We’ll be the ones that will actually go in and set them up for them, myself and the director of maintenance and other employees which will really take that burden off them both financially, and the worry about how to do it, and what to do.”
Fifteen residents from Huntington Health Care needed this converter box in order to make the transition.
DTV coupon days are planned for locations around our region in the coming weeks.
