Fatal shooting in downtown Wilmington

A 26-year-old Wilmington man is dead after being shot several times late Saturday night.

Emmitt Irving was gunned down in front of his home on the 800 block of Grace Street. Police say Irving was approached by the shooter as he got out of his car. They say it’s too early to determine a motive for the shooting.
