Soldiers are in for some special deliveries

Today the local organization Step Up for Soldiers put together 150 packages for the troops.

The packages were filled with everything from gum, to shampoo to legal pads.

Tom Russell from Step Up for Soldiers said these little trinkets can make a big difference.

“They’re in different modes over there now than they were years ago. So, it’s important that we send them the little items that make their lives a little easier and give them a little remembrance of home,” said Russell.

The packages will be shipped out by the end of the week.
