Sarus Festival kicks off Monday

A big event kicks off Monday.

It is the Sarus Festival — a two week long celebration that offers up a variety of entertainment.

The festival features dance performances, art, music and just about everything else you can think of.

What makes the festival so convenient is that events take place from Wilmington to Burgaw, giving many people an opportunity to enjoy the fun without traveling too far.

The Sarus Festival kicks off Monday morning at 11:30 a.m. at Riverfront Park in downtown Wilmington.

The festival runs until Sunday, August 17th.
