CFCC closer to opening Pender campus
Residents of eastern Pender County will soon have easier access to college classes.
Cape Fear Community College is opening a new campus, thanks to the generosity of one of Surf City’s long-time residents.
On Friday, college officials will join Pender County leaders to officially dedicate the property to Alston W. Burke, who donated the land to the college.
The Alston Burke Campus will hold a 30,000 square-foot classroom building, which is expected to cost $6 million.
