Local singer songwriter asked to judge contest
Catesby Jones is best known for writing country singer, Travis Tritt’s first song, “Country Club.”
He has been writing, singing and playing music since the 70’s, and now the North Carolina songwriters co-op has asked him to judge their 11th annual songwriting contest, an offer he was happy to accept.
“It’s just the glue that holds everything in society together, is music, so I’m happy to be a part of that,” said Catesby.
If you would like to enter the contest you still have time. The deadline to enter is September 30th.
The winners will be announced December 1st.
