Fundraiser for local cancer patient

This weekend, you can help a family whose young daughter is battling a rare form of cancer.
Two months ago, doctors diagnosed 6-year-old Ellie Shoal Potvin with stage 4 abdomyosarcoma.

Friends and family created the Lift Up Ellie Fund to assist with medical bills. This Saturday, a fundraiser will take place at Hugh McRae Park in Wilmington.

It starts at 4:30 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m. There will be food, music, a silent auction and many other prizes will be raffled off. Tickets are ten dollars for adults and five dollars for kids.
