Bank robbery suspect taken into custody

Once again, media coverage helped lead police to a Wilmington bank robbery suspect.

Marvin Cooper is charged with robbing the Cape Fear Bank on Oleander Drive last Thursday.

Cooper was taken into custody yesterday by the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Wilmington Special Enforcement Response Team.

Police said they received an important lead after bank surveillance photos were publicized last week.
