UNCW offers course for new business managers

Owners and managers of all-sized businesses can get some help from UNCW’s Office of Professional Education. It is presenting a new series on navigating leadership. The nine-week course is designed for first-time managers. It will cover topics such as team building, understanding financials and conflict management.

The class begins Thursday with a full-day session from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Students who finish will receive a certificate in leadership studies. To register log onto www.uncw.edu/professional-ed and click on the link for navigating leadership.
