Cadbury announces recalls on chocolate
British confectioner, Cadbury, announced today that it has recalled 11 of its Chinese-made candy products because of the country’s tainted milk scandal.
The chemical melamine, first found in powdered infant formula, has since been traced to dozens of other products.
Cadbury said the affected products were made at the company’s plant in Beijing and distributed in Hong Kong.
There have not been any reports of tainted chocolate, but company representatives say the recall is a precautionary step.
