Third arrest made in social media spat turned shooting
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Deputies arrested a man early Thursday on warrants for assault and conspiracy charges in connection to a shooting earlier this week that started as an argument online.
Daekwon Kalil Pearce, 20, is in jail charged with four counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, along with four counts of conspiracy to commit a felony. Deputies say Pearce’s charges are in connection to a shooting that happened Monday. Two others are also facing charges.
Wilmington Police say the trio drove to a house after an argument on social media, and shot at a group of men in the front yard. No injuries were reported.
