Baby shower held for military spouses

CAMP LEJEUNE, NC (WCTI ) — An organization called Operation Shower held a baby shower for expectant military spouses aboard Camp Lejeune Wednesday.

Operation Shower’s goal is to help pregnant mothers whose husbands are deployed, or are getting ready to deploy, by throwing them a baby shower.

“Whenever your spouse isn’t here for the whole pregnancy, there is obviously always some additional stress,” Operation Shower’s Chief Shower Operator Leann Morrissey said.
