CFPUA closer to being fully caught up
It is almost November, and about 20% of New Hanover County residents are still waiting for their water bills.
The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority took over the area’s water supply this past July and many residents haven’t received a water bill since May. A spokesperson for the Utility Authority originally said all the bills should be out by October. Wednesday, the same spokesperson said they are about eighty percent there.
She hopes the rest of the bills will go out in the next three days, but could not guarantee that would happen.
