Ashley Judd going on the trail in NC for Obama

CHAPEL HILL — Ashley Judd and the sister of Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden are hitting the campaign trail in North Carolina to encourage early voting.

Judd and Valerie Biden Owens will make stops at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Duke University and North Carolina State University on Thursday. They’ll also hold a Women for Obama event in Raleigh.

Judd is one of a number of celebrities who have come to North Carolina in the final days of the campaign. Others include actress Edie Falco, actor Kal Penn and singer James Taylor.
