US Airways to start Charlotte-to-Paris flight

CHARLOTTE — US Airways will offer a nonstop flight from Charlotte to Paris next year.

The Charlotte Observer reported that the airline said service would begin April 21, using a Boeing 767 aircraft which carries 204 passengers.

There was no immediate word on fares. A formal announcement was scheduled Friday.

Charlotte is US Airways’ largest hub, more than 80 percent of its flights are operated by the airline. US Airways’ Charlotte-to-Paris service was dropped after the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
