Kay Hagan stops by Whiteys for coffee, conversation
On the eve of Election Day, U.S. Senate candidate Kay Hagan made a stop to the Port City.
During the morning, Hagan sat down for coffee with supporters at Whitey’s on Market Street.
Hagan also responded to Senator Elizabeth’ Dole’s attack ad claiming that she’s an atheist.
Hagan said it is false, and that it is a last minute tactic from the Dole camp to distract voters from the issues.
“You know Elizabeth Dole sees nothing wrong with attacking my faith and faking my voice but you know that’s her choice. I’m a Sunday school teacher, I’m an elder in my church, but none of those character attacks are going to sure up this economy or get one new job for North Carolina, send one kid to college,” said Hagan.
After the breakfast, Hagan made stops in New Bern, Goldsboro and then to Charlotte where she met Senator Barack Obama.
Senator Elizabeth Dole is speaking at ILM International Airport on Tuesday evening.
