Brunswick Co. deputies searching for Leland man

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Leland man wanted for obtaining property under false pretense.

Investigators say the suspect is John Joseph Sawchuk, Jr., 32, of Lee Drive. Sawchuk is wanted on six counts of obtaining property under false pretense for incidents that occurred between September 2 and October 23.

Sawchuck is described as a white male, 6’0″ and 170 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair. He was last known to drive a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with NC license plate CLT3705.
