Victim identified in Dublin murder
BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — We’re learning new details about a shooting that ended in a crash in Bladen County.
The shooting happened in Dublin around 8:30 p.m. last night. Investigators said they found Darrell Dionte Council, 24, unresponsive in a car that crashed in a ditch in the 400 block of Center Road. Deputies said Council and his brother were in their vehicle at the intersection of Center Road and Twisted Hickory Road when they were confronted and shot by two people. Council tried to get away but lost control of the SUV. His brother was not hurt and got help.
There have been no arrests. The sheriff said they’ve identified a person of interest and are trying to find him at this time.
