New Hanover County man arrested for alleged sexual assault

Carteret County Sheriffs’ detectives have arrested a New Hanover County man.

Mark Lewis was arrested Tuesday for an alleged sexual assault that occurred in Carteret County over seven years ago.

No further information can be released in this case, because of the age of the victim.

Lewis was placed in the Carteret County Jail under a $25,000 bond.
