Jones’ Fish Camp closes

NEW HANOVER CO.(STARNEWSONLINE.COM) — Jones’ Fish Camp, which had been serving old-timey staples alongside Calabash-style seafood at 7770 Market St. since late 2009, locked the doors for good late last week, property broker Lynn Harris said Wednesday. Owners Ed and Brian Jones could not be reached for a comment about the closing.
Winning over diners and critics alike with a coastal feel and favorites like fried flounder and broiled shrimp, the restaurant paid a tribute to the fish camps of a bygone era that used to dot the area’s waterways.
