Man shot to death at Fayetteville shopping center

FAYETTEVILLE — Police in Fayetteville say they are looking for two men in the shooting death of a man at a shopping center.

Police spokeswoman Theresa Chance says a man was found in a van at the Strickland Bridge Shopping Center late Thursday afternoon. Police said Friday the victim was 20-year-old Gregory Leon Mosley Jr. of Fayetteville.

Mosley was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The Fayetteville Observer reported that officers have not determined a motive for the shooting.

Chance told the newspaper a witness told officers that two men ran into woods across the street from the shopping center.

She says officers were reviewing surveillance tape from a store in the shopping center in hopes of identifying the men. It was unclear if the victim had been in the shop.
