Boat fire in Carolina Beach Sunday

A boat fire kept crews in Carolina Beach busy Sunday afternoon. The fire took place off the 1400 block of Canal Drive.

The Carolina Beach Fire Department and police were on hand quickly, but the boat was destroyed. The Coast Guard was called to help with the clean up because of the fuel.

Police said a neighbor noticed smoke coming from the back of the boat. No word yet on the cause of the fire.
