Armed robbery on Carolina Beach Road

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for an armed robber.

There was an armed robbery at 5002 Carolina Beach Road. The business at the address is Silver Lake Market.

A spokesman for the sheriff’s department says an unidentified man robbed the store around 9:00 p.m. with a silver revolver.

He fled, on foot, down Silver Lake Road with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is a black male, wearing a black or brown hoodie, an orange or red bandana, dark colored high-top sneakers, and a light grey colored “North Face” style jacket with a stripe under the arm.

If anyone has any information, they are asked to call the police.
