Man killed on motorized wheelchair identified

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The man who was struck and killed by a driver Friday night has been identified.

Wilmington Police Department spokeswoman Linda Rawley said it happened in the 2300 block of Carolina Beach Road just before 7 p.m. The man, Voit Rayfield Donaldson, 50, was crossing the road that was not a marked crosswalk.

No charges will be filed against the driver.
