Arrest made in Sept. Target vendor robbery

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man who is already in the New Hanover County jail for warrants in New Jersey is facing charges here in Wilmington.

Samir W. Thomas, 23, is facing charges including with three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of second-degree kidnapping. Police said he robbed a Target vendor at the store on New Centre Drive. The robbery happened about 7:30 a.m. Sept. 24 outside the store, according to WPD spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay.

Thomas is in jail under a $450,000 bond.
