Wilmington Police precinct to open in January

It looks as though the grand opening for the new Wilmington Police precinct will have to wait until next year.

According to a WPD spokesperson, the police station on South College will not be open to the public until January. Some police units are already reporting to the precinct, but painters and construction crews are still working on the building.

The police department had hoped to officially open the precinct in November.
