Digging for clues in cold case will begin January
The SBI will begin digging for clues in a sixty-seven year old murder case next month.
Leila and Mary Rachel Brian of Carolina Beach disappeared in 1941; no one has heard from them since.
There are many theories surrounding their disappearance, but many believe Layla and her young daughter were murdered and buried under their house.
The current owner of 214 Raleigh Avenue is cooperating with the investigation. On January 17, 2009, the SBI will begin digging under the house for clues.
