FIRST ON 3: Wilmington man hit by taxi dies

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A WPD spokeswoman said the man who was hit Thanksgiving morning has died from his injuries.

Police say Aaron Carrol Long, 21, was walking on the road on Wrightsville Avenue when he was hit. A taxi driver struck him, and he was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Police said Long was wearing dark clothing and walking in the road. They said there will be no charges filed against the taxi driver.
