Charges filed in fatal accident on Cape Fear Memorial Bridge

Charges have been filed in that fatal accident on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge last month.

Officers have charged William McMillian II of Leland with misdemeanor death by vehicle.

On November 19th, McMillian’s flatbed truck flipped over the center guard rail, hitting the vehicle Myia Shepard was riding in. She died at the scene.

Shepard had 3 young sons, and was seven months pregnant, expecting a little girl.
