Cut the fat by replacing a few ingredients
Cutting the fat and calories from your diet is not always easy, but dietitians say replacing a couple of ingredients can make all the difference.
Take a batch of brownies for instance. Instead of using oil, which is all fat, substitute an equal amount of applesauce. That will save you close to 900 calories and 100 grams of fat.
Instead of eating store-bought chicken nuggets, make your own. Using an egg and herb mixture, and coating the chicken with Melba toast will save you about 90 calories and about 13 grams of fat.
