Repairs to CFMB guardrail mean upcoming lane closures

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Due to the recent crash on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, repairs are needed to parts of the guardrail.

A NCDOT spokesman said lane closures will happen next week from 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 16 to 5 a.m. Thursday, December 17. The center guardrail was damaged in a crash between a tractor-trailer and a disabled vehicle.

Drivers are urged to use an alternate route, but the bridge will remain open.
