Some Wilmington students flexed their scientific skills today.

Students at Gregory Elementary School hosted their annual science fair. More than two hundred 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders participated in the fair. Friday afternoon, students were able to walk around and size up the competition.

Fourth grader, Josh Burn said, “I made an electromagnet out of wire and a big nail.”

“A lot of people did a lot of different projects that I would never have thought of,” said Jasmine Young, a fifth grader at Gregory.

Aaron Johnson, also a fifth grader added, “I’ve looked at all these projects, very interesting. We have a very good variety this year.”

Some students will have a chance to go on to represent their school in a county and state competition.
