Ft. Bragg is getting new court, legal building
FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Officials at Fort Bragg are opening a new courthouse to replace the 1930s-era barracks that has served the Army’s legal system for several decades.
The new $4 million courthouse opens Monday. The 12,000-square-foot building includes a court room, judge’s chambers, a media filing room and offices for staff and defense and prosecution teams.
The new courthouse is located next to the Davis Dental Clinic on Normandy Street.
A courtroom and legal offices currently are located in a three-story building that once was a barracks and houses the 18th Airborne Corps Judge Advocate General, administrative law offices
and the base tax center.
