NC lawmakers to speak on economic stimulus package
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK — Three House lawmakers from North Carolina are speaking to the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce about the economic stimulus package taking shape in Washington.
Democratic Reps. Bob Etheridge, David Price and Brad Miller will speak Tuesday morning at the event in Research Triangle Park. All three represent districts that include portions of the Triangle region.
Both President-elect Barack Obama and the Congress have been discussing an economic discovery package but have yet to finalize the details of it. Etheridge has asked Obama to include tax credits to fund local school construction.
