Two students taken to hospital after Brunswick Co. school bus crash

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Two students were taken to the hospital after a crash involving a school bus early Tuesday morning, according to a Brunswick County Schools spokeswoman.

The spokeswoman said EMS and law enforcement responded to the crash on Highway 130 near the entrance of West Brunswick High School, which shut down the road there.

12 students from either Early College High School or Brunswick County Academy were on the bus when it was hit from behind, according to a release.

The spokeswoman said two students were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the crash. West Brunswick High School’s principal said any tardies caused by the accident have been excused.
