Principal and parent have charges dropped

Charges against the Monroe Elementary School principal, and a parent, have been dismissed. A confidential agreement between the women states they will not have any further contact.

Parent Tracy Danka took out charges against Monroe principal, Patricia Rourke, for communicating threats. Rourke’s mother, charged Danka with misdemeanor assault.

Danka said Rourke screamed at her after a Brunswick County School Board meeting, then threatened to kill her.
