Three more charged in attempted home invasion

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies have charged three woman in connection with an attempted armed robbery.

A spokesman with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office said Mercedes Nichole Gainey Stanely, 25,  Tonia Jordan Kemp, 39, and Shaquita Denisha Stanley have been charged in connection with an armed robbery on December 9th.

D’Marcus Tyree Malik McMillian, 19, and Taquan Marquese Barrett, 17, and another minor were previously charged in the case.

According to deputies, the suspects are all being charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony conspiracy, and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
