Police cite cyclist hit by car

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police have cited a bicyclist hit by a car this afternoon in front of New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

It happened just before 3 p.m.

Police say the Oliver Baker’s injuries were very minor and that he requested to go to the hospital as a precaution.

Investigators say the 60-year-old was riding his bike in the wrong direction. They cited Baker for driving the wrong way.
