Homecoming at UNCW

It’s back to school for some UNCW alumni this weekend.

The Seahawks held their annual homecoming parade Saturday. On lookers cheered the homecoming court as they drove through campus in some convertibles on a chilly evening.

Alumni said the best part of homecoming is bringing together different generations of the Seahawk family.

“It’s new and old, you get to see the new freshmen that are here, the sophomores and juniors, and you also get to see old friends. It’s just a very meaningful thing to me, I absolutely love being a Seahawk,” said former UNCW student Sandra McClamy.

After the parade, alumni headed to the “Teal Gate” for some food and fun. All of the events led up to Saturday’s basketball game, however the Seahawks were defeated by James Madison University.
