Hotel worker robbed at knifepoint

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Jameson Inn on Dunlea Court.

WPD Lt. Michael Fanta says a little after 2 a.m. Saturday a suspect entered the hotel with a knife and demanded money from an employee. Fanta says the suspect locked the employee in the laundry room before running from the scene.

K-9 units tracked the robber to a place where Fanta believes the suspect got in a car and left.
